About The Webcast Maven

The Webcast Maven is Michael Krieger, tech industry pioneer and longtime marketer.  In the past decade, Mike has participated in over a thousand webcasts as moderator, panelist, producer and writer, and developed and executed integrated marketing strategies for a variety of tech products and services.

Mike started his career in the late 1960’s as a mainframe and mincomputer application programmer.  He launched Solution Business Systems in the late 1970s as a software consultancy, and with the advent of personal computers began to integrate his enterprise software experience with the nascent microcomputing marketplace, leading to the development of early micro-to-mainframe connectivity products.

Mike then moved over to product marketing, and joined AST Research, where as Director of Advanced Systems he spearheaded the creation and launch of one of the first multi-processor PC Servers.    Mike also served in executive marketing capacities for Hitachi Data Systems, FutureLink, and CommVision before joining Ziff-Davis as part of their Market Expert team in 2001.

Mike resides in the San  Francisco Bay area.
